How to Stop Playing around and START Actually Achieving Your Goals!

When you write your goals, you are 42% more likely to achieve them. That percentage goes up when you share them with a friend! We are continuing the conversation of goal-setting and are talking about how we can actually get results from our goals.

HIGHLIGHTS

Some goals are made with well intentions, but they are too vague.

Goals like "getting in shape" or "drinking more water" are great, but achieving them is difficult because they are too vague. So, what does it take to create goals that you will actually achieve?

If you really want to achieve your goals, they must be specific and measurable so you can make a plan. Specific and measurable goals are detailed and have some meat to them.

For example, instead of "getting in shape", you could say you want to walk 20 minutes, 5 days per week, for one month. Since you are being so specific, you will know whether or not you hit your goal for the day.

When you have wins, it feels good! Without wins, it's easy to get distracted and feel discouraged.

These rules apply to small and large goals. Get specific, make it measurable and then create an action plan. Instead of "making more money", say you want to get two more clients per month. Then, you can create a plan and systems around this goal!
