Crafting the Natural Light Look In-Person Workshop
May 10th & 11th
Join me at my Seattle, WA studio for a two day, hands on, lighting workshop!
I’ll walk you step by step through my signature method for creating natural looking light with strobes and flash AND show you how to achieve a dark and moody look using a one-light approach.
We’ll cover equipment, set up, settings, metering, and lighting patterns for a multitude of looks. Participants will get hands on practice and I’ll be right there by your side to answer and questions you may have.
You’ll walk away knowing everything you need to know to create beautiful natural looking light with strobes and flash!

Newborn and Family Posing Clinic

I believe babies are beautiful just as they are. If you feel the same and would like to add more baby-led newborn photos to your portfolio, this one day clinic is for you!
Participants will learn soothing techniques, session flow, my go-to poses newborns AND families and get the opportunity to photograph our baby models for portfolio building.
No froggy or taco poses here! Just babies, being beautiful babies!

Maternity Posing Clinic

I started my career back in 1999 with a maternity photo I took of one of my best friends. That image launched my career, and I’ve been a passionate maternity photographer ever since!
In this one day portfolio building clinics, participants will learn my go to maternity poses, my maternity session flow AND have plenty of time to work with our maternity models for portfolio building.

Film for the Studio Photographer
Sept. 6th & 7th
Film photography has seen a renaissance over the past several years and it is no wonder. This classic medium is beautiful, fun to work with and easier to use than you might think. However, most film photographers are most comfortable using their film only when shooting outdoors.
I want to change that.
I’ve been a studio photographer for the past 24 years! And I work exclusively in studio, and exclusively with film.
Adding film to your studio workflow is a game changer! In this workshop, I will walk you through everything you need to know to make it happen, including working with strobes and flash!
Attendees will learn:
The differences and similarities between film and digital
How a camera meter works and how to meter for film
The different film stock options and how they affect your photo
How to use both natural and artificial light when working indoors
How find the right lab to process your images
Attendees will also get the chance to practice their new skill, working with models in-studio!
