What It's like Being in the Amplified Photography Mastermind

In this week's episode, I talk with members of my level two mentoring program, Amplified, about why they joined, the importance of community, what they learned from fellow members and their biggest takeaways from being in a photography mastermind.

Amplified members are graduates of my group coaching program, The Six-Figure Studio, who have learned the foundations of building a brand and a marketing machine and are ready for something more.

What sets Amplified apart from my group coaching program is that we follow more of a mastermind model. We don't follow a curriculum and we also have a retreat where we help each other to identify and brainstorm specific goals for each individual, and then in our subsequent meetings we support and guide each other, as well as problem solve all of our goals together.

Marisa Duran

Marisa shares that she joined Amplified due to her positive experience in The Six-Figure Studio, as well as a desire to continue growing her business. An Amplified veteran having participated in two rounds of the mastermind, Marisa expresses that her biggest takeaway from the program is that she established a trusting, respectful relationship with the other members and found this to be transformative. Since beginning Amplified, Marisa has tripled her income, and she attributes much of this success to the support she received from the Amplified community.

Rebecca Hunnicutt

Rebecca expresses that being a part of Amplified has given her the confidence to grow her business faster than she ever thought was possible. Her advice to those just getting started is to not follow trends and to build your business photographing what you want to photograph.

Ariel Cannon

Ariel joined Amplified after graduating from The Six-Figure Studio, feeling that she needed more guidance and something to keep her moving forward while she focused on growing her business. Initially Ariel was hesitant to join Amplified because she was accustomed to the coaching model, but her doubts quickly transformed into certainty surrounding the benefits of working as a group to help each other achieve their goals.

Zoe Smythe

After relocating her photography business across the country, Zoe was seeking a community of photographers. This led her to The Six-Figure Studio and then Amplified. For Zoe, the value of this type of community lies in having support and guidance from people who understand the industry.

Natasha Hunt

Natasha loved the warm, caring and judgement-free vibe of the Amplified retreat. She expresses that her experience in the hot seat filled her with hope (and a long to-do list!) and left her with a strong sense of believing in herself due to the support she felt from the group. She advises those starting out that if they've got a passion, to follow it and to not doubt yourself.

Susannah Storch Allen

Susannah was looking for feedback and reassurance in order to take her business to the next level, and this is what inspired her to enroll in Amplified. She shares that, thanks to her participation in the mastermind, she now feels she has a clear plan on next steps for her business. Susannah advises people who are just getting started to learn from other photographers by sharing their business and being open to feedback.

Molly Hebda

Amplified was originally Molly's idea, and she thought of it because after getting so much out of The Six-Figure Studio, she had a strong desire to go deeper and bigger with her business. Thanks to participating in Amplified, Molly found the confidence to launch a podcast within a couple months—an idea which had been on her plate for years.

Kyle Bromley

Kyle expresses that Amplified has helped him to lean into working more authentically. He also acknowledges that no matter the time you have working as a professional photographer, doubts can still creep up and it's key to be kind to yourself through those moments and focus on a plan. Kyle talks about shifting into the mindset of being an entrepreneur and how empowering it is to have the ability to call the shots.

Brian Hohmann

Brian shares that my way of teaching really clicked for him, and that's what inspired him to enroll in Amplified. A seasoned business owner, Brian advises beginners to just take the leap and do the thing that scares them.

Ashley Morrissey

Ashley reflects on Amplified and how it's shown her that consistency is extremely important to the success of a business. Ashley encourages those starting out to trust their gut and do what's best for their business. She recognizes the benefit of brainstorming with other people, but says that at the end of the day it all comes down to you.

Þórdís Reynisdóttir

Þórdís acknowledges that after seeing the benefits from The Six-Figure Studio, she wanted more. The community has supported her as she focuses on getting clarity and doing what she wants, versus what other expect. Being a new mom, Þórdís was able to prepare for her maternity leave in a way she wouldn't have been able to without the support of the group.

Enrollment to The Six-Figure Studio is closing after June 2023, but if you’d like to find your photography community, I invite you to join the waitlist to the Sandra Coan Certification Program here!
