It's NOT about the Gear!

Has anyone ever complimented your work and assumed you just have a really nice camera? That statement usually drives photographers crazy, because we know it isn't about the gear—it's about how you use it. It's about things like composition, lighting and posing. The same thing can be said about lighting equipment.

HIGHLIGHTS

When you know how to create your own light, you are no longer limited to only working during certain times.

In Seattle, it gets dark in the winter around 3:30PM. Before learning artificial lighting, this would really limit when I was able to book clients. Now, I can get the same look whether it's early in the day or late at night!

Your work becomes so consistent when you can create your own light. This means that every single client who stands in front of your camera will receive the same quality images. This helps you build a certain level of trust with clients and potential clients. In the end, incorporating lighting into your business WILL help you make more money.
