Inside The Six-Figure Studio: The Power of Putting on Blinders

Are you one of the many business owners that compares yourself to others on loop? Well you are not alone, friend!

In this episode, I share a portion of one of our Six-Figure Studio group coaching calls. We discuss the power of putting on blinders in the face of comparison in order to grow and succeed in business.

HIGHLIGHTS

Letting go of comparison.

During a recent Six-Figure Studio coaching call, Kelly opened up about how comparing herself to other business owners negatively affected her. Especially when it came to Instagram, Kelly found herself feeling anxious and thinking she needed to spread herself thin in order to keep up with her business.

Going through the clarity piece of The Six-Figure Studio, Kelly discovered that identifying her ideal client was what really helped her to block out that comparison. Once she got clarity surrounding her unique approach to running a photography business, she felt less scatter-brained and this made more space for her to focus on how she communicated with her people.

Kelly also acknowledged that the security she felt through the Six-Figure Studio community helped her to move away from comparison. Knowing she had people to support her through the process really diminished the anxiety and built up her confidence.

Being a creator is a vulnerable place and we have to do what we can to protect that. We all battle with comparison, but the key is knowing when to put on those blinders!

How things are going now.

I asked Kelly how things are going for her business now that she's implemented the lessons from The Six-Figure Studio, and I just love her response! She shared that the inquiries she's fielding these days are resulting in better quality conversations compared to what she was experiencing before enrolling in the program. This is resulting in a lot less weeding out of potential clients and bringing in more of her ideal client.

Kelly also expressed feeling much more confident in her sales process, as opposed to the fumbling and discomfort she felt previously. In general, she's feeling that her systems are much more streamlined. After updating her website and making it super clear, she has the confidence that the people who contact her through her website know exactly what she offers; Kelly believes that from the client's perspective it's much more attractive to work with someone who is confident, clear and can give them exactly what they want. And I totally agree!
