How Much Space Do You Need to Work With Strobes and Flash?

Based on the photos I share, a lot of people think I shoot in a big, light and airy studio.

I don't.

My space was actually a Dr's office before I moved in. And it's set up like an office space.

The space I photograph in is pretty small. About 95% of my work is done on a twin bed in an area that's 5x10 feet.

And my space can be pretty dark, especially in the winter.

I create the illusion of a big bright studio by creating big, bright (but soft) light.

And I create that big soft light with just one light, and one modifier.

Easy. Peasy.

The takeaway? Don't let your space define your work.

You can create anything you want, in any space you have. The secret to success is knowing what you want, and then knowing how to create it!
